Slow Flow Yoga Classes
A slow flow yoga class working with a focus on careful alignment and the breath, suitable for all levels, (except complete beginners) on Saturdays at Mycenae House, 3.30-4.30pm.
The class starts with gentle postures to warm up before moving on to more active asanas, (postures) and finishes with a guided relaxation. Small friendly classes, yoga mats and props are provided. Please bring your own mat if you prefer.
Flow and Restore classes
On the last Saturday of the month from 3.30 - 4.45pm, we have a Flow & Restore class which includes restorative yoga. This starts with slow flow yoga and ends for the last 30 minutes with longer held restorative postures. In these more passive postures you are supported by yoga props, folded blankets, yoga blocks and bricks and the floor.
The feeling of being completely supported allows the body to soften and relax, releasing tension and enabling the nervous system to settle and slow down. This leads to a feeling of well being and calm. Restorative yoga was developed by B.K.S. Iyengar.
Private one to one classes are tailored completely to you, whether you are new to yoga, or if you have a regular practise.
Private classes might also be helpful if you'd like to go to general classes but feel a little bit out of practise, and want to go over things. These can be held at Mycenae House, or at your home. For more information please get in touch.
I've been practicing yoga for over 20 years, and teaching since 2006 in community centres and privately, after qualifying as a yoga teacher with The Life Centre, now Yogacampus. I still attend regular teacher trainings and workshops at Yogacampus, and am a member of REPs, the Register of Exercise Professionals.
